Do you speak Spanish? That will open so many doors! (the spanish don't really do english)

As for gardens, haven't a clue, Barelona is a city (you'd have to go outside, and that is the countryside - schools for expat children difficulty- or the beach)

Do you want International or local school for the DC? Go from there, depending on their age

Check Expatica spanish forum!

By the way, it is normal for a reputable company to (help) pay for the children's education and relocation/house as part of the contract!

Spain is great! Enjoy!

If you want a garden you'll have to go on the other side of the Vallvidrera Tunnel direction valldoreix sant cugat. On the coast you may give a look at gava, castelldefelds
What about school? You know - don't you - that in Barcelona public and private schools are in catalan. Or there are international schools in english, french, german, italian.... but NOT a single ONE in spanish (castellano). Are you ready to do a one-hour school run in the morning and another one in the afternoon? Because the international schools are mainly in the Barcelona area.
You can find houses with garden in Barcelona of course but very $$$$$$$$
