possiblilty of moving to new york later this year (dh finds out on wednesday) and have been trying to get an idea of what housing is like and how much etc in different areas around NYC.

tried prime location which was pants and i can't find any other propery search sites based in america. i'm getting sick of trawling through endless individual real estate agent websites.

Do the real estate agents have a multi listing service (MLS)?

bamboobutton · 09/08/2010 18:06

i have no idea.

they all seem quite hard to navigate with words i don't know the meaning of (what's a co-op, multi family???)

i will have a look for MLS though and see what comes up.

ta!

Multi-family is when the house has one owner and split into several self countained flats.
