Some of the best advice I've ever had is: 'if you can't sleep, rest'.

Resting is also helpful. You could count your breaths up to ten, try to focus on the counting and nothing else. Or just let your thoughts drift. Wishing you a peaceful night.

Best wishes from Scotland.

I do hope you manage some sleep tonight. It must be incredibly hard to get comfortable with drains and tubes coming out of you in numerous places. Well done on getting the first chemo session under your belt and hope those tumours shrink soon.

Bless you Pamela, I'm so sorry for your suffering. I think about you numerous times per day and check for updates every morning and every evening when I get home from work. You and Kerr are absolutely amazing. Your bravery in the face of such pain and uncertainty is awe inspiring. I really hope the chemo does its job and kicks this illness' backside without making you feel too sick. I hope you manage to get some rest tonight. Sending so much love and best wishes xx

You sound sooooooo much better! Go chemo go! And Thai food is the best.

Wishing you the very very best night’s sleep tonight. I’ll be awake listening out for our dog who’s has vestibular syndrome which is like vertigo. Or going on a rollercoaster whilst being very drunk. She keeps falling over bless her.

Pompatrol · 12/07/2023 22:22

Sending you a photo of a place we recently discovered called Bluebell Wood in Hayfield, Derbyshire. Not far from us and such a beautiful place.

It's wonderful to hear you upbeat after such a dreadful night. You amaze me with every update. I'm so glad you've had your first dose of chemo.

I wish you a peaceful pain free night. Sleep tight lovely x

I am so glad to read you're feeling more positive Pamela. You're right, you have nothing to lose, and you have held in so far, managing to look glamorous and beautiful. I am in awe.

Here is a picture of my New Forest pony filly foal, I have waited 12 long years to get a girl from one of my mares!

Still to choose a name for her, I am considering making an exception to my usual has to begin with a H and naming her Pamela in your honour xx

@CrotchetyQuaver

shes a beauty isn't she! I think Pamela would be a great name for her!!

Jasminesmellingcandles · 12/07/2023 22:38

So glad you've been feeling more up. I can imagine how elating it might feel to have that chemo coursing is way through you, powerfully pushing back on the cancer.

I have a feeling I'm going to have insomnia tonight (it's insanely hot where I am on holiday at the moment). I generally try not to check my phone in the night, but please know I'll be thinking of you whenever I wake up, sending you positive energy, and hoping that the pain management is working and that you're getting some sleep/rest xx

Theloosegoose · 12/07/2023 23:00

Aw bless Jacob and bless you all. Sending sleep well vibes x

More love from Liverpool, and oh, the power of your words, Pamela!

Nongatron · 12/07/2023 23:10

Sending you calm and peaceful vibes for a restful night. Delighted that you’re through the first round of chemo I felt so much better psychologically when I started chemo as I felt relief that my cancer was being tackled with some serious weaponry
Really hope you can rest like Reggie
Blessings from Dublin x
