So around 2 months ago my friend noticed she had lumps on her back.
She was having night sweats and felt generally exhausted and like she had flu.
She had also found little lumps in her groin and a lump in breast as well as really painful armpit.
Her legs are really itchy
The doctor yesterday did blood tests and today rang her saying they were abnormal.
That infection marker was high and something else.
They have told told her she has to go in tomorrow for another blood test to rule out lymphoma.
Does anyone have experience with anything like this ?
What else could it be ?
She put the blood results in Google and first thing it came up was lymphoma
She's asking me to get any advice if we can

DH has follicular lymphoma. If they catch it early enough then the prognosis is good. I don’t like where we live but I am beyond grateful that for this type of cancer it is the area that is fastest from diagnosis to treatment.

He was diagnosed in 2018 and has gone to 6-monthly bloods and consultant appointments. The treatment was rough, but manageable. I wish your friend well.

My DH also has follicular lymphoma @WaneyEdge Late stage when finally diagnosed 8 years ago. He had six months of chemotherapy and a further two years of monoclonal antibody treatment. He's doing brilliantly, in partial remission, and on six month checkups.

@ringlingding it could be anything, or nothing. Lymphoma comes in so many forms and it may not be that anyway. My advice would be not to Google, and to wait and see what she's up against.

I’m pleased to hear it @RedRosie, I hope you have a lovely long time together x

Hi Op, just came across this thread while looking for another.
I have had Lymphoma. Some of your friend’s symptoms are familiar to me. Especially the itchy legs.

I was diagnosed early, had aggressive chemo and radiotherapy. Have been clear now for over 5 years. Many lymphomas are treatable.

Your friend may have her answer by now. I hope it goes well for her.

Did your friend get her results?

Asked the GP since June 2020 what was up with legs?
Asked the surgeon May 2025 did I have lymphoedema or oedema on the legs having went though an mri. I much later discovered oedema was the reason.
Bare faced lied to.
