Struggling to cope

I don't have a name to my illness. Yet. But what I do have are some life limiting issues that I am really struggling with. I've had a cough for 2yrs now, which affects my breathing and limits how much I can do and how far I can go. I have swollen legs and stomach for which I'm on water tablets and every 30mins for 5 or 6 hours I have to pee, so I'm pretty much housebound by that. This past few weeks I've been feeling nauseous to the point I've barely eaten. I'm now on antibiotics sickness tablets and some medication has been changed. But my body feels absolutely ravaged by all it's been through. And I am so cold all the time.

All my bloods are normal, x-rays normal, there's a slight possibility that I have Brugada, but that's very low and doesn't account for my symptoms. I have appointment with respiratory next week and hoping for something, anything that'll help.

In meantime, I'm scared, tired, but unable to sleep, fed up and wondering if this is now my life.

Have you tried ruling things out by diet? I know a few people with auto immune diseases and a severe cough, bloating and inflammation have all been side effects.

Look at the AIP diet, it’s full elimination diet but hugely benefits auto immune diseases. There are a lot of great accounts on instagram about it. It’s worth a look:

One friend was categorically told by the NHS she did not have an autoimmune disease for years but she eventually went private and was diagnosed with lupus!
