So my auntie who was found unresponsive at the beginning of the week got told she’d be taken of her ventilation machine and nothing more could be done for her and she wouldn’t pull through this. She’s been ill for a while but it’s been managed and we never expected this well not yet anyway if that helps understand more.

They basically said there making her comfortable and she’s on end of life care and that it’s a matter of hours. That was on Thursday. My dad went to see her today and he said this is the best she’s looked since falling ill. (He’s been there everyday since Monday) Obviously because she’s defied all odds we’re all getting false hope, despite the drs saying she won’t pull through this and she’s got 1 in a billion chance. We’ve got locks of hair and handprints etc. she’s had the ‘death rattle’ noise for a few days which I read that usuallt lasts for up to 48 hours before a person passes away. So please can somebody advise me or even just tear my hopes down 😞 is she likely to survive? Or could her looking better be the ‘peak’ the doctors said.

she hasn’t been awake or conscious since Monday. Her breathing is some what ok but it’s more shallow then normal with breaths in between

Im refusing to think she will pass away which means if that happens im likely going to take it bad 🙁

Towards the end of life, there can be what is known as a “last hurrah”, where it seems there’s a corner being turned. Sadly, it isn’t the case. I’m sorry for all you’re going through. Take each hour as it comes and ask the drs if you aren’t sure what is happening.

This is what the doctors were on about 😔 she hasn’t woken up at all but apperently she just looks better and more peaceful where as before my dad said she looked so frail and awful. The doctors have said there’s no coming back from this but just seems so cruel as she’s defied all of the other odds ☹️☹️
