New MS leisons

My latest MRI scan showed new leisons. They have only compared this scab with the last one in 2021. According to the consultants letter; 'it is reassuring that there hasn't been much change"
I find this anything but reassuring, as since starting Tysabri and then Alemtuzemab, I haven't had any new lesions in
Ten years. I haven't got an appointment with the consultant until April next year. I'm not sure if this can be left till then or needs dealing with sooner. I had new symptoms, when I had my last glare up in February.

Is there someone in your medical team who can advocate for you seeing the consultant sooner? Or can you query for information from an MS charity? My Sil has progressive MS, diagnosed in 2016, gets annual scans.

Do you have an ms nurse that you can contact directly?

If you have new lesions, you need to see your consultant, you may have had a relapse & need steroids & or your DMD changing.

Sorry to hear this. Seeing a neurologist is so hard now. I had a scan in August, didn’t get the results until Boxing Day (!!) showing new lesions and didn’t start my new medication until 2 weeks ago. I haven’t seen my consultant in this time and my next appointment is on zoom! I really feel for you x
