What is the one thing you found helped your constipation more than anything?

Cosmocol/movicol every day long term, and putting my feet up when on the loo (I use an overturned washing up bowl).

75g of all bran and 50g raspberries every morning and it keeps it at bay - only recently discovered this after years and years of issues.

Medication 🤷‍♀️
Senna & Laxido every day. Don't know what else to do as gp not too concerned ss that mostly works for me. It's not perfect but better than the alternative

My daughter has this. Only thing that works is movicol every day. It does still flare up often though

Laxido most days and plenty of fluids for me as well. I eat a high fibre diet which doesn’t always help.

Giving up dairy. I was constipated and using medication for 40 years, read about the link with dairy and gave it up 3 months ago. Within 3 days my bowels were perfect. If I ever lapse eg over Christmas, the constipation cones back almost immediately.
I also eat a lot of nuts and fibre generally but was doing this prior to giving up dairy.
