Hi everyone, I’ve created a new thread as I am overwhelmed to see that the last one is full. You have all filled me up with your hope and encouragement. I’m keeping going as long as I possibly can!!

On a previous thread where a mumsnetter's daughter was very ill, someone said that she was holding her in her sleeve. I thought it was a lovely way of expressing that she was thinking about her so, gorgeous, vibrant Pamela, I am holding all three of you in my sleeve. Nothing to say except how brave you're being and how the live you've given Jacob for the last 17 years will carry him through.

Sending love and gentle hugs from West Yorkshire to you Pamela and strength to your lovely husband and son.

FUCK cancer indeed!

OhwhyOY · 01/07/2023 09:10

Just to say I've read all of your messages and I really hope stenting helps you feel better. Your DH and DS sound lovely and I really hope you can get successful treatment and have long happy lives together.

SquirrelSoShiny · 01/07/2023 09:32

Good morning Pamela I hope you were able to get some sleep and that today gives you some space to be with your family xxx

Seashantii · 01/07/2023 10:06

Thinking of you everyday 🌸

Munchyseeds2 · 01/07/2023 10:14

You will feel so much better once the hospice team sort the pain out, hope they come out to you today.
Just keep breathing lovely lady

SmartyPlants · 01/07/2023 10:26

Have been thinking about you and your family since I read your first thread last night. I hope you managed some sleep and you manage to get some proper pain relief sorted with the hospice. Sending love.

Toothiepegg · 01/07/2023 10:39

I've been following too but am useless with words and didn't know what to say.

You are all in my thoughts.

Sending love

Morning Pamela I'm holding your hand and holding hope for you

I hope you had a better night and that your lovely Kerr and Jacob have soothed you with their presence. Joining everyone one here with a handhold of support. Cyclizine is first line but what you want is ondansatron. And morphine or OxyContin for your pain. Once your pain and nausea is controlled you'll feel better, when you feel better you will be able to eat a little, when you eat a little you will feel better again. Have you got something like Ensure drinks? They are high calorie nutrition drinks and you might be able to buy them at the chemist. Much love to you x

Pansypotter123 · 01/07/2023 12:23

I hope you receive some help over the weekend. I'm sure I speak for many of us when I say a wished I lived nearer to do some of the running around for you and your lovely family to give you all a break. Keep fighting, and I hope you find encouragement from posters telling you of others who have been in a similar position. Lots of love 💕 xx

everybodytidy · 01/07/2023 12:46

We're with you Pamela ❤️

DonegalGhirl · 01/07/2023 12:53

Dearest Pamela, you are such an inspirational brave person and I’m so sorry you’re going through all this. I’m sending positive thoughts and prayers to you and your beautiful family, never give up hope Xx

peerie · 01/07/2023 12:59

My heart breaks for your predicament. We all sail along thinking we'll reach a reasonable old age. The sudden nature of your potential loss is so brutal. You are coping so well, with such dignity in such a short space of time.

William1992 · 01/07/2023 13:58

I came across your post by complete accident but I can’t just read and leave without sending love to you and your family, I have no words that will help other than sending you lots of love and gentle hugs and wishing I lived nearer to you so that I could help out in some small way. I wish you all the love in the world and hope that once the stent is fitted you will feel so much better. Lots of love And keep fighting you are a winner

whitebreadjamsandwich · 01/07/2023 14:33

Also here, tucking you up a sleeve, holding a hand ❤️

charlestonian · 01/07/2023 15:04

Good morning, Pamela (or I guess it's your afternoon!) How are you feeling today? I hope being at home is bringing you some comfort. How are Kerr and Jacob looking after you? I hope you can maybe go outside and feel the sun on your face, feel the wind blow. There's something very healing about being outside, isn't there?

Continuing to pray from you all from the Midwest.

Mummyoflittledragon · 01/07/2023 15:08

Bless you. I hope that you are able to take strength from all of the love shared in these posts. Xx

momager1 · 01/07/2023 15:22

Dear Pamela. I am born and raised in belfast, moved to Canada as a young adult and now my husband and I were able to take an early retirement and move to the Dominican republic. This morning I walked the beach for a while with my insulated mug of tea and looked over the ocean. I remember in your earlier post you talked about getting to the beach. I took you in my heart and prayers to the most beautiful beach I have ever been on. Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana. I said a prayer for you down at the beach watching the sunrise. Love Lynn in DR
