Still no radiotherapy by 12 weeks after op?

Try to gauge what is ‘normal’.
Google tells me radiotherapy is usually 4-6 weeks after surgery.
Is it actually usual to wait for over 3 months after surgery before even seeing the consultant to discuss starting radiotherapy?
It will be over 5 months after diagnosis at this appointment. Getting seriously worried.

Hi @SlantedEnchanted if you are being treated in the NHS they have a target date to start treatment usually within 8 weeks unless you have complications of surgery. Have you got a CNS you can call to ask them to help get things expedited? Or call PALS at your hospital? Sorry this is stressing you

Yes it’s NHS.
CNS phoned the consultants secretary to stress that the wait was too long.
The secretary called us and said there is nothing they can do as there are no earlier appointments.
I feel like he won’t even stand a chance. you have confirmed my fears that it really should be sooner. I don’t understand why he wasn’t referred when he had the surgery, especially as they’d known when they’d sewn him up that they had been unable to remove it all.
