My Sil has been diagnosed with breast cancer that has spread to the liver and possibly the spine . We are all so devastated and she is so scared right now . She's meeting her team Tuesday to find out biopsy results on the breast sample and hopefully find out the plan on how to try and slow it down . She's so young only in her 30s and has two young children .
My heart is breaking for her .

sending you hugs and good wishes. Awful thing to hear, I’m so sorry for you all.

ParkheadParadise · 30/10/2022 18:43

That's awful.
Hope she gets some good news on Tuesday
That crap is always at someone's door.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope the results & treatment are as good as they possibly can be.

my friend has just been through this & 2 years later she now has the 'all clear - 2 OP's/chemo/radio & tablets for life, so no picnic, but she's back at work (somewhat physical job).

Thank you , really hoping for clarity on Tuesday , The waiting is awful , god only knows how she is keeping her cool . I don't think any of us have slept much this last week .

That's a positive in a shit situation. From what we have read it can no longer be cured as it's spread but I think she would be content to have what your friend has had . However tough this next 12 months is going to be .

How did it go

Playdoughcaterpillar · 02/11/2022 22:31

My friend has breast cancer that has spread similar to your SIL. It's not curable but it's hormone sensitive and she has treatment every 4w. You would never know. She looks and feels fab and is still working full time 2y on from diagnosis.

JazzTheDog · 02/11/2022 22:35

My sister had breast cancer at 33, 36 and then was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer at 39.

She was on a variety of medications and was able to enjoy a holiday to Cyprus with her young family. Sadly she passed away 2 years ago aged 41.

I wish your sister all the best and many more years of keeping the worst at bay x

pavillion1 · 03/11/2022 01:12

She's starts chemo in the morning , she's been hospitalised this last few days so they can get on top of the pain . She's got grade 2 breast cancer but stage 4 as it's spread .
Not sure if it's hormone or not she's been so dosed up on morphine and it's all been abit information overload for her ..
it's just shit so so shit .
