Possible cancer recurrence?

My mum was diagnosed with cervical cancer, which had spread to her lymph nodes, in 2020 and less than a year later they had removed all the cancer through radiotherapy, chemotherapy and brachotherapy.

It's actually just over a year since she got the call to say the cancer had gone.

Recently, she found some blood when she wiped herself. It's come back hasn't it? She's in her sixties, so definitely not a period. I can't think what else it could be.

You have no idea of knowing whether it is back or not but understand why your worried. My DH cancer recurred in a different place so because she has wiped blood may have nothing to do with recurrence. keep your mum close and support her with the next round of investigations..

Hi @theremustonlybeone Thank you for your reassurance.

I'm so sorry that your DH's cancer recurred. 💐How is he now?

Bleeding can also be caused by vaginal atrophy too. I had post menopausal bleeding investigated recently so had all this explained. It's best she gets it checked out O particularly given her history. I hope all turns out okay for her.

Thanks @BeanAnTae . I'm glad yours wasn't anything sinister.
