Recurrent Ovarian cancer - symptoms?

I had Stage 3c Ovarian cancer nearly 9 years ago - surgery, chemo, post chemo complications, life changing impact on my body yada yada.

I've had regular scans and check ups since (private medical through work thankfully) and only had one blip with a raise ca125 in that time which turned out to be nothing. But the longer since diagnosis, the more I think its just a matter of when, not if (based on ststistics).

And I am having 'tweaks' in my abdomen again (aches and tweaks at original tumour sites, bloating, feeling full etc) so am scared its come back. I've pulled my scan forward to this week but will still have to wait 10 days until I know - and the worry is starting to paralyse me! Not fear for me, but the impact on my family again Sad.

Anyone had recurrent oc? What were your symptoms? How did you tell your family if it did come back???

Aww @Chilver what a worry for you. I don't have any advice but the ladies on the cancer support thread might? I'm not on it but I lurk due to my mums terminal cancer journey. It's under general health. Good luck!

Thanks ticklemyfancies I didn't realise there was another place for these questions - I wasn't active on mumsnet when I had cancer originally! Will head on over there now...

Sorry to hear about your mum Flowers

I had reoccurrence 8 months after surgery/chemo . No symptoms but ca125 level was 700 . Had a scan and showed the reoccurrence and spread . Back on chemo and level is falling . I told my family it was back . I was devastated telling them again but I could not go through this without their support . Hope you are well.
