I feel so sick it's unreal, 6 weeks ago I unfortunately got diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.
I am now on my second week of chemo and it's knocked me for 6, tonight I feel so nauseated it's awful, if I'm not throwing up I feel like I'm going too, I have awful diarrhoea and my bottom is so so sore (sorry to much information) my mouth is full of ulcers that hurt badly and I am feeling really weak and achy.
I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy, I don't know why I'm writing this but I know it's made me feel a little better

So sorry you are having such a horrible time, praying for you, that it gets easier, and just remember every treatment is one closer to attacking the cancer, and getting better ❤️‍🩹

I'm so sorry your suffering but just a little hint for a sore bottom. Get a spray bottle and mix bicarbonate of soda and warm water. If you shake the bottle and spray after you've used the toilet it will neutralise the acid which gives you relief.

Flowers can offer a virtual hand hold

Aaahhh so sorry to hear that - I hope today you're starting to feel a bit more human again 🥰
Best of luck with the chemo

HollowTalk · 11/08/2021 20:30

That sounds awful. You poor thing. Do you have family and friends to help you?

Bsmirched · 11/08/2021 20:32

I'm so sorry you're feeling so rough. Talk to your onco team about feeling/being sick, there are many things they can do to help with that. Don't suffer in silence about any of the side effects or just accept them as par for the course. Your onc team will want to know and help. Difflam mouth wash is great. As for the diarrhoea, Try keeping baby wipes in the fridge and use those.

IncessantNameChanger · 11/08/2021 20:35

I hope you are feeling a tiny bit better today and got some sleep in the end.

Tell us something you like and we can go and find some nice links to distract you if you have a rough night tonight.

Like cute cat videos

Can you use something like Sudocrem on your bum? It really protects the skin underneath.

As aPP said, report it to your team.

Good luck 💐

MrsFin · 11/08/2021 22:47

Don't use baby wipes on your bum!
Don't use baby wipes on your baby either - anyone who has one!

OP put sudocreme or vaseline on your bum. Both are really soothing and will protect the delicate skin in that area

ChannelJackieWeaver · 11/08/2021 22:49

Agree with sudocream suggestion. Mints to suck on are good for the nausea. Flowers

Alternista · 11/08/2021 22:50

Oh you poor thing. Here for a hand hold.
Have you got any good telly week on the go to distract you a bit?

TheSpottedZebra · 11/08/2021 22:50

I'm really sorry to read your OP, and wishing you healing, for your rear and elsewhere!

Have you seen the cancer thread on here? I think it has a much better name but it is a long running series of VERY freindly and supportive posters, at various stages of cancer. I'll find the link and post...

Queenie6655 · 11/08/2021 22:51

Sending you the best wishes

So sorry to hear this xxxxxxxxx

Here it is! There will be people who have been where you are, have taken the same combination of drugs and will be able to recommend what might help. And they are great listeners.

Bellabelloo · 11/08/2021 22:53

Oh bless you. It will pass. I've had stage 3C breast cancer too. My advice would be not to suffer in silence. Make sure they give you stronger anti-sickness meds next time (Emend was my saviour) and a mouthwash for the ulcers.

How are you feeling today? X
