Hi, I woke up one day with tingling all down my right arm and leg, and a little back pain on the lower spine, it's been like this for 6 months now constantly and not gone away. i keep getting muscle spasms in my leg and arm I've had a spine mri which came back clear for trapped nerves etc but there is slight change in my spine. I've seen a neurologist specialist I've got weakness in the right leg and arm and hand with a numb patch on my foot. And exaggerated reflexes. I've now been put through for a brain mri but it's goin take about a month or so. I've also got headache and pressure at the right side of my temple. Has anyone had this and what is the outcome? Thanks

@Dolphins23 did you ever get a diagnosis for this? Hope you're ok.

Hi, I haven’t had a diagnosis yet, I’ve had a spine and brain mri, spine results came back with some deteriation. Appointment was cancelled due to COVID 19. But I have a telephone consultation with a specialist on Monday so hopefully will get more answers! Thank you very much 😁

I'm glad it was all clear. How do you feel about it? Do you still have the symptoms?

Dolphins23 · 18/08/2020 08:04

Thank you. Yeah the tingling is still there constantly, and the weakness in my arm I’m always dropping or shaking when pick a kettle etc up. But it’s not as bad unless I’ve got used to it lol. But when I go out and do shopping, day after work, or a walk I always ache like mad the day after. I think the doctor should do more tests for something as it’s not right being like this

Wondering if it's worth getting a referral to a physiotherapist? My spine scan showed minor deterioration. Both the GP and a spinal consultant said this was just normal wear and tear. But the physio said that the minor nerve impingement shown on the MRI report was responsible for my arm tingling, weakness and pain, and that the minor deterioration in my lumbar spine could be causing pins and needles on my foot.

I feel for you as these symptoms are so weird it's frustrating when nobody knows what they are.

I found a rare condition called thoracic outlet syndrome that can cause arm tingling and weakness but annoyingly doesn't explain leg or foot!
