I'm only 44 and New here so bear with me. Since Oct 2019 my memory as got worse. I do thinks then forget I did it.
I've seen my GP who thinks possibly it could be this but wants me to have a MRI scan.
Anyone else suffering this?

Sorry you have this worry Pixie. I hope that it is not dementia. You are very young and so chances are it is not. Has the doctor checked your vitamin B12 levels? Stress can cause memory problems. Diet too. There can be a mixture of reasons. Hopefully not dementia.

When I was around 47, I was having some memory problems and also one day was unable to find my way home even though I was only 5 minutes away. I had blood rests and MRI scan but they didn't find anything. Then my memory just got better again. I remember there was an online test I could do which could give an indication of the possibility of dementia.

What things are you forgetting?
I'm 46 and I went to the doctor after I had memory loss, including not being able to find my way home in the car and not remembering a night out with friends. It was found to be stress. I still do get words muddled up and forget what I've just said but I'm told this is to be expected at my age (peri menopause).

Have you had
your thyroid checked - all the factors,
your Vit D levels,
your Vit B levels,
your hormone levels (early menopause),
your stress levels?

Does dementia figure in your family history?
