Step dad seriously ill lung cancer

So he was admitted to guys last week for operation to remove tumours from both lungs, the 3rd instance of this in the last 10 years, however his recovery has been slow and this week has got worse as his lungs are no longer working on their own

My mum called in tears asking to go to the hospital immediately, he's in a very bad way and only has a 10% chance of recovery, he has been completely sedated for the last 3 days and the chaplain gave him the last rites tonight. We don't know if he will last the weekend at the moment

Sadly he passed away just after 3pm this afternoon, very sad

Thanks all

The nursing staff were brilliant and talked us through everything that they were doing and why they were doing it, they helped very much in a difficult situation
