Billy Connelly should not apologise

I personally do not feel Billy Connelly should have to aplogise to his fans for making them feel sad.

If he feels he is slipping away then that is how he feels!

No apology needed but true Billy Connolly fans do feel a personal connection to him via his personal stories and therefore feel the inevitable loss of a friend is near. Undoubtedly going to make us sad.
Will hit me hard tbh, a big part of my life for a long long time. A great man.

He's slipping away he says but how would he feel if someone told him to get on with it? Ask Ken Bigley's family, they know all too well.

What has happened ?

I'm confused about what Ken Bigley has to do with this?

ZoeZebra1 · 05/01/2019 21:05

I can't imagine having the awareness that you have little time left and the realisation that your body and mind are slipping away. Love the big yin and it's good to see he is still doing ok.

In the wise words of Billy

They can fuck off, and when they've finished the can fuck off some more

He's a big and great man ... if he feels it's right to tell people how he's feeling then good for him - it'll help humanise it for other sufferers

Seignur thanks for the link. That's awful- I didn't know about that.

I like the black side of BC's humour... I imagine the Bigley joke was an expression of that. I get it. BC is getting on with it. He's just as powerless as Bigley was.
