I was wondering how this all worked as my friends had an intervention as I've been really ill. I was told my two paths are palliative / hospice care, does this mean that they deal with everything, apart from your GP you're not to pester 111 or go to A&E, even when A&E want you admitted.

I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean that the patient can bypass A & E and go straight to the hospice if need be? We have a similar system in the hospice where I work, it just saves terminally ill people waiting around in A&E for hours.
