Really sorry to hear that, it's a horrible situation to be in. My gran lived for about 4 days at this stage I think. I went to see her in the last couple of days and she was on high doses of morphine so spent most of the time sleeping. She seemed peaceful, which was fairly comforting.

Hope you and your mum have lots of support to get you through the next few days Flowers

My dad lasted three more days once he had reached this stage. No fluids passed his lips from that point and he was not with us at all. Flowers

My stepdad went this way, was only on the thing (can't remember name) he lasted 3 days maybe. My mum use to syringe liquid in his mouth that's he spit out so he could have the feel of the wetness. I hope his passing is peaceful for your family, my step dads was. big hugs

Thank you all.Dad has cancer in prostate spine lungs and brain now.He seems pain free however the congestion and bringing up lung secretions are too much for me to witness.Mum is being amazing though.I hope my lovely dad passes away soon....it is what he wanted.
