Getting out when confined to a wheel chair

There is a lady I know that has osteoporosis.
She is wheel chair bound.
She doesn't have a car.l that can carry a wheel chair.
Is paying for a taxi the only way she can go out or are there charities that can provide this?
Thanks in advance.

There are usually local schemes she can use. Have you googled?

Has she asked you to find this information?

If she is in receipt of DLA/PIP that would entitle her to access the motability scheme, they can provide wheelchair accessible vehicles although there is usually a large advance payment. I think there used to be financial assistance in some circs but don't know if that's still the case.

I have googled but can't seem to find anything.
I'll have at look at the council website.
Thanks. Smile

My mum can't get out of her chair. We use black taxis.
