Hi, My gorgeous DP who is 49 was diagnosed with bowel cancer with liver and lymph nodes spread in Nov 2013' been through a shitty year trying to to treat it, unfortunately got told 2 months ago it's inoperable, and there is further spread now to his lungs, he is now back on the chemo!. We have been together nearly 4 years, he is my world, and we are engaged, he proposed to me at my 40th birthday which was v romantic in front of the whole family, he is a lovely person, we always intended to get married, but now it's an impossibily due to finances, so we decided a few days ago to have a very low key commitment service at the local town hall to exchange rings, which is 11th April, 3 weeks on Saturday arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ,so no pressure for me to find a perfect dress!! Lol!.. I'm going tomorow to look, but I need ideas for readings as I wd like my bro to read something and also want ideas for appropriate songs for our ceremony, I think we can have 2, I've been looking on the internet tonight, but I just feel like I've got a million things to do, and nothing is getting done.. Thank you in advance xxx

First of all, so sorry to hear your news. Thanks

We had Elbow "One Day Like This" playing while we signed the register. Its quite long, so filled the link time nicely (while family came up for photos etc)

dinosaur reading

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 15/03/2015 20:54

I also think Ellie Goulding's How Long Will I Love You is beautiful and at only 1min long or so would be ideal for walking down the aisle
