Books about nearing end-of-life/dying?

Can anyone recommend any books about nearing the end of one's life? I've tried searching "dying" in Amazon but I'm not sure if they're mostly about the final act of dying. Searching "end of life" seems to come up with more technical books for professionals.

I'm looking for something about dealing with the realisation that someone might be in the final months of their life. Any recommendations for books about that (or dying itself) would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance, and peaceful good wishes to the people on this thread and their loved ones.

Badgers parting gifts is a lovely book. He's old, says goodbye to all his friends, dies (peacefully going into a tunnel - not God related) and they have a memorial. Flowers

Stephen Levine's books are highly thought-of. Have a look on Amazon. He has a spiritual perspective, but not any specific religion. A friend of mine (who has been bereaved several times) really loves his work.

Thanks everyone.

No, I'm not looking a book for children.

I'll have a look at Stephen Levine.
