I think my dB is dying, he was doing so well only yesterday now he's in hospital and they're asking about dnrs, he has lung cancer, its spread everywhere now, liver ,adrenal gland, lymph nodes spine, ribs, he finally seemed to be getting his bone pain under control was feeling so well and in less than 12 hours he has an infection and they're talking about the hospice if he doesn't respond to the antibiotics, god dammit we're just not ready for this yet!

I'm so sorry to hear this.

Have you spoken to the hospice people? I found them immensely helpful and supportive when my dad was dying.

Holding your hand. Flowers

I'm sorry your db is deteriorating.

Hospice at Home were excellent in caring for my dad at home in his last days. It was run from the local hospice with support from the district nurses from his GP practice.

I am glad to report that dB responded very well to antibiotics and came home last Thursday, he's very frail now and having mobility issues but he's still here and still himself, one good thing to come from this, he was very frightened of dying but after being at the edge and having no memory of it, and being pain free and very tranquil that fear has passed and that's one less worry for him. he's says he's not going anywhere yet, we live to fight another daySmile
