I hope you've seen that there are a few other threads on MS in this topic, hopefully someone with more experience will come and back up my recommendation or offer others. I hope you have some people around to support you.

I'm walking a fine line between jumping the gun and being prepared TBH. I don't want to read too much until I know what I'm dealing with, although I have browsed.

I have a clear idea where I want to be referred should it prove to be Lupus or some other Rheumatology type thing. I'm just trying to cover the bases but struggling through serious brain-fog. Besides, anything I do discover this week has to be kept top-secret for another month until the exam season is over (DCs doing GCSEs and AS)- having a plan will hopefully help if I need to keep a poker face.

When you say suspected MS, what stage of the diagnostic process are you at? Have you seen your GP for any tests at all?

Seeing Neuro for 2nd time this week. Had MRI waiting for LP.

I'm pleased that you're some way to getting a diagnosis, you sound very strong and practical. Is there the option to remain at your current hospital, or has it been done purely through the GP? As mentioned above NHNN is excellent. Look for a hospital which has a prominent MS nursing service if it does turn out to be MS, as they are an invaluable contact and can be much more readily accessible than medical staff.

Yes that makes a lot of sense.

I'm not inclined to stay with current hosp post DX precisely because of the disorganisation and staffing shortages; I want to be able to get faster help with future flare ups.

All rather mixed and confusing, waiting for further appts with more specialists. I do have interesting new pain meds though
