I was told by consultant last week my dgf has end stage liver mets, he is in local hospital being well cared for ands here is open visiting so we can drop in to see him whenever. The truth is we are all struggling as it's been such a shock to us all how advanced it was, he is deteriorating quite quickly and I have had to tell dd1 (9) that her great grandad is very poorly and isn't getting any better :(. Does anyone know if there are any books that deal with death and dying quite sensitively for children?

I am struggling as she had to leave for work on Sunday and he will be away for a month so am trying to be string for dd's and Deal with my own feelings too.

Sad sorry to hear the news

There is a story about a dragon fly to explain death to children - its lovely. Need to google and you will find it quickly.
