Mother living with arthritis

What are the herbal medication for arthritis specially for a mother. What are the reason and probability that arthritis will be transferred to baby genetically.

If she is suffering with inflammatory arthritis she should be under care of dr with proper drug support. Herbal supplements should only be used in addition to this not as a replacement. Inflammatory arthritis's can do awful permanent damage if left unchecked. Even when pregnant there are treatment options , some people find IA especially rheumatoid arthritis can ease in pregnancy, some find it gets worse, others no change.
For some people it seems to be hereditary but for others (me) there is no connection.

Hi, I have rheumatoid Arthritis, and was diagnosed when my son was 18 months old. I came off all my drugs when I was trying to conceive my 2nd child and did get some lessening of pain during pregnancy. We are hoping to have a 3rd and are currently reducing my steroids at the moment. Mine wasn't hereditary either and all I can do is hope that my children won't be affected. I haven't found any herbal medications that work, but have found that Omega 3 is a help, and a change in diet and lifestyle. If you need to chat, send me a message. X

You sound amazing Annieuk75. My DH is hell to live with when he has a flare-up.

Thanks harbinger, I can assure you I can also be a nightmare when I have flare-ups. THe hardest thing is to enjoy the days when there is less pain, hard when it hurts so much. My biggest problem are my feet, and I have just purchased a homedics foot massager...works a treat!
