Getting a good nanny

My friend is very very ill, and needs a very special nanny to help with childcare for her two young girls at this difficult time and afterwards. If anyone has any tips to help with this, please let me know so I can pass them on to her. I couldn't find any specialist agencies on line. Thanks.

Maybe put this in the childcare/nanny section as some nannies may have experience in this area. I would think a mature, sensitive, very reliable person would be required. Someone who will muck in and can work on their own iniative and keep life as normal as possible. A good nanny agency would know if any of their candidates would be suitable. I don't have any experience of this, only a mum who had PND.
