any gay/lesbian parents in the east riding yorkshire/hull area

our little boy 3 in september cool with having 2 mums now anybody have any insights into when they start school? any same sex parents in our area?

I have just seen your post re: gay/lesbian parents, which I came across while searching on the internet for gay/ lesbian parents in Hull. I'm not a gay parent myself so I can't help you there, sorry. However, I'm looking for participants like you for a research project I am conducting in collaboration with the University of Sheffield. I'm a post-graduate student researching parental responses to a programme of sexuality education which is currently being incorporated into primary schools. The study in Hull is a response to programmes elsewhere, like the 'No Outsiders' gender and sexualities equalities project in Bristol which until late last year was in place to bring about a greater awareness of same-sex families through teaching about different family set-ups in schools. It would be great to have your perspective as I fear the study will be completely unrepresentative unless I can incorporate valuable views on the matter from same-sex couples like yourself. I would basically be asking for a very informal interview sometime in the next month or so. I hope you don?t mind me posting on your forum thread.

I am working on a new channel 4 series called The Village and we are looking for families to take part in filming who would like the chance to win a 3 bedroom cottage in a beautiful Yorkshire village and start a new life mortgage free.

The reason I am posting this here is that I am really trying to find families that will give a true representation of the diversity in the UK today and seeing as I think many of you might be reasonably local to the village in questions (North Yorkshire) I thought I?d pass on the info about the series.

Families will each move to the village for 1 week in which time they can win over the local residents with their skills/interests/passions and the local community themselves are the ones who have the final say on who wins the house and becomes the newest members of the village.

If you would like to find out a bit more please do get in touch or if you could pass this onto other families who might be interested that would be wonderful.
