I need some advice. my son is gay not aproblem for us as i think i knew before us he is 17 and has met the one been raving about him for ages my kids all have bfs and gfs over at xmas and ds asked if bf could come which we thought was lovely........... he is 36 a fact our ds had not told us i am abit concerned this is his first love so dont want to ruin it for him but i dont need to spell out my worries what do you think bf seems a lovely guy and my ds very old for his age they do seem to have alot in commen

I think you have every right to be concerned about such a big age gap (the fact they are gay is irrelevent imo)

My DD is nearly 17 and i must say it would bother me too. However, I dont think there is an awful lot you can do tbh. Your son knows his own mind and what he wants so I think the best you can do is support him and be there to pick up the pieces if it goes wrong.
