My wife is 17 weeks pregnant and I wanted to get her a present to help her feel better and try and cheer her up as the fatigue is really getting her down. This is not our first baby as I carried our first but it is her first pregnancy and I want to make it special. She is not girly and has sensitive skin so not sure on scented face masks or anything like that but I am not sure what to get her. Can anyone help? She was amazing when I was pregnant but I still want it to be the same with her. 😊

For my bestie who got pregnant 6 months after me, I drew from experience and got her a foot massage ball for achey feet, comfy maternity pjs and bunch of snacks. She loved it.

Massage appointment?

Massage
Nice soft cotton dressing gown (handy if she choose to breastfeed)
Massage

Spa day?

MumMT18 · 20/08/2021 17:44

She is not a girly person so wouldn't really enjoy anything like a spa day and is definitely more of a tomboy

Cool snacks off etsy! Chocolate slabs, giant cookies, pamper letterbox gifts
Stuff for her hobbies
Kindle/ereader
Organic soy candles/wax melts
Soft pyjamas or socks
Fancy food

Make sure she is taking her vitamins especially iron! Hope the fatigue passes soon. Congratulations!

How about something like a bola necklace…. I feel like they have that ability to connect the now to the future (not sure if they actually work). Maybe knowing there is a baby at the end will help in some way.

if not… if she liked drinking pre pregnancy M&S do a nice range non alcoholic spirits. Someone I used to work with used to love a glass of none alcoholic red wine when pregnant, she never drank loads pre pregnancy but liked (and missed) the occasional glass of red to relax (a change from the ‘norm’… and I guess if she’s cutting caffeine too, a nice drink could be nice)

Maybe food but I guess it depends how she’s feeling. My Mum still mentions Dad bring her walnut whips when she was pregnant with me because she was really craving them (I’m still partial to one).

This is a bit girly… but you could invest in a massage bar/oil and you could do the pampering. Even none girly people sometimes like that type of intimacy.

Ummm other ideas…. I personally love new slippers & pjs…. I imagine I’d like that pregnant or not so maybe just something she normally finds comforting. I love the new slipper squish! Before the soles have gone flat from getting stood on!
