Gay friendly commuter towns?

Hello,

Looking for recommendations on towns within easy reach of London, that won't be too weird about a biracial lesbian couple buying a home in their area. Considering a move out of London for more space, but mindful of choosing somewhere safe. I'm aware of Brighton and Bristol of course, but want to be a little closer than that if poss

Brighton & Hove is less than an hour from central London, and I can tell you that the towns between Brighton and London are not queer friendly ...

We live in greater Chelmsford and haven’t experienced any issues. We aren’t biracial though. (I’m white American and wife is white British).

Have you considered outer london boroughs? Such as Uxbridge/Ruislip areas? Gay friendly and affordable areas to buy a house, as well as on the line.

Margate has a thriving community of queer parents. It's still reasonable too.

Myself and my girlfriend (I am white and she is black Caribbean) live in south Essex. We have had no problems at all from anyone and there seems to be a lot of lesbians here whenever we go to the big shopping centre.
