My sister who is middle aged has in the last year started on the road to becoming a man.
Overall, and although this was a complete suprise as there has never been any indication that she felt like this, the family has been totally supportive, she knows she is loved and we are there for her.
My mum is in her late seventies and although she understands what my sister is going through she is having real problems getting her head round it and is very upset. She is unable to talk to her friends or even her sister as she doesn’t feel they would understand.I get that this is a generational thing for her. We have gay, bi and lesbians in the family and she has always been open, accepting and adoring of them so is very open minded.
Is there any help for parents of transsexuals?.
Before you blast me for calling her she , she has created a new Birthday after which she will become he 😀
I am off to work so look forward to any advice when I get home.
Thankyou x
