Names for 2 dads

Hello

My husband and I are early on in the adoption process. We have started discussing what we want to child to call each of us

Dad? Daddy? Daddy is fine when young but seems a bit childish for when they start to get older?

Dad (real name)? Eg Dad Steve? Dad Alan?

Pop? Papa? Don’t think of myself as one of those

Father seems a bit formal

Friends have suggested us both being called Dad, but not sure if that’s confusing. Anyone got any other clever suggestions?

in our house we have mum and mum but when we are both in the same room and DS is trying to attract one of us he will say mummy for me and mum for my DW

he is an adult now and when he is at work he distinguishes us by mum and mummy or mum and mother.

DS led the way in how he would refer to us both and has chosen our names himself. I am his biological mum and DW is step mum who came into his life at a later point and has been adopted by him.

We've just adopted a 1 year old and this was a dilemma for us. My partner really wanted Dad/daddy so we went european-chic and I'm Papa. I can just tell it'll become Pops when our son realises how uncool Papa is, or he'll just work out some new names for us!

I thing children should call both dads or moms as daddy or mommy. It's okay
