Hi everyone

My partner are looking to get a referral to Homerton in the hopes of starting a family.. WE are currently in Oz travelling but up on returning to London soon we want to move in to the right area so we can get a referral - Does anyone know the catchment area? Also if you went to another hospital in London that took lesbian couples any information would really help..

thank you so much

Jules and NIcky x

Having looked into this a year or so ago I got the impression that you could get referred to Homerton from any GP now because the services they offered were so specialised.

I'm in North London and know my GP would have happily referred me if I'd asked. But at that point I was thinking of going it alone.

Kings College (in Camberwell, South London) has an excellent track record of fertility treatment for lesbian couples. I don't know whether you have to live in the area.

I'm not aware of any other London hospital that will offer NHS fertility treatment to lesbians, but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

Most private clinics will also treat lesbians - the London Women's Clinic in Harley St seems popular.

Good luck.
