Frozen sperm - help!

Please please can anyone who conceived successfully using frozen sperm and home insemination share experiences.

I already have children conceived by donor sperm but that was fresh sperm and from what I understand, the lifespan of frozen sperm is either unknown or reduced to 12-24 hours so that you have a much narrower window of fertility in practise (as fresh sperm lasts up to 5 days or even more in the womb).

I would love to know if you charted or knew when you were ovulating, did you inseminate on your LH surge / before / after positive OPK test etc.

With my successful conceptions using fresh sperm I aimed for ovulation day but was often a day or two prior but obviously I need to be more precise with frozen donor sperm.

I would really like to hear any positive experiences ... thanks!

I inseminated the day after I got the smiley face on the OPK and got pregnant first time with frozen sperm but this was via IUI at a clinic.
