Hi everyone!

My an my wife have a DS he starts mainstream school after the summer, I'm nurvous.... He's our only child an maybe it's normal to feel the way I do!

What if he's bullied? What if he don't fit in? What ifs are drowning me!

I know, I know he needs to spread his wings, my reason for posting is...

How have other same sex parents found their child's settling into school making friends ect?

He is so proud of his family, an tells the world! We live in a very diverse area of inner London.

I'm hoping All my worries are normal for any parents regardless of sexuality!

Every mum is nervous of their child's first day of school. You have to be confident with your family unit, so that your child is confident with it. Always be honest and open with your child and with their new friends. Make sure you invite their friends around to play, so that your child does fit in with the other children. (I find it harder relating to the other mum's). It is important that you explain to the school teacher that your child has two mums.
