We have treatment through our local reproductive medicine clinic and therefore an anonymous and thoroughly medically screened donor. Other couples I know have self inseminated with a known donor which is easier in many ways, but more complex legally.

Hi, I used a known donor through a connection website called Pride Angel. It took me a while to find the right person and asked for proof of sti testing and got some legal advice. I did cnsider a clininc but they wanted me to have fertility drugs which I didnt actually need as I had no fertility poblems but that was the way they do it. Its really down to personal choice and how long you are prepared to wait. Have a look on Pride Angel (www.prideangel.com) they are a connection website and have lots of information on the whole thing, there is also a legal advisor if you have any questions. Hope this helps, let us know what yu decide?! good luck xx

We found our donor on FSDW. I also recommend Prideangel Smile

There's one called gay family web- I don't rate that one... It put our real name and location up on the site and even though we canceled our subscription they kept taking money month after month... Even though we called them.

Hope that helps?

Wrighty- how's your new baby?Smile (sorry don't mean to high jack the post but have seen you on here in a while)

Hi, I am interested to read this because I am looking at sperm donation. The reason for this isn't because I'm in a same sex relationship but I'm not in any relationship, but would love a baby. (It's something I have been planning for years by the way - it isn't a random decision.)

I am going to an open day at a fertility clinic soon to discuss options x

Good luck, you don't have to be in a relationship to be a loving parent, hope it goes well for you xx

Hi all. First time posting but have been lurking for a while! My partner and I are planning our first baby soon. We have been looking at some Danish clinics for sperm, to use at home. The prices are more affordable and you get heaps of information on the donors, which I like. Does anyone have any experience of buying sperm from abroad and inseminating at home? We don't know any gay couples with or trying for children, and we're finding information and advice a bit thin on the ground. Any advice or suggestions would be gratefully received!
