2 dads new to UK want to find others

We just moved to London from the U.S. with our 2 kids (boy 10, girl 6) and have yet to meet other gay parents here. We live in north London. Would appreciate guidance and direction on how to find a community so weand our kidsdon't feel like we are the only ones in this big city. Thanks!

hi - I can't help as I don't live in the UK, let alone in London, but there are some networks for gay parents (rainbow families, I think and some others). Didn't want you to go unanswered, although these boards are pretty slow!

London is pretty diverse, so you will soon feel right at home (I'm originally a Londoner)

There are some gay parents communities in East London and North London if I am not mistaken.

Just google "gay parenting in London" and you will see a list of useful websites. There is also a facebook group.

If you are looking for contact, we are a gay couple from the West Hampstead area. We don't have any children yet but we are thinking of adopting.

You are more than welcome to get in touch, so we can exchange tips about London and gay parenting.

There is a group who meets every first Sunday 2-5pm of the month in Mile End (positive east building). Well worth going to, lots of parents, parents-to-be and kids to chat to. There will be a Christmas party on Sunday 5th Dec so would expect quite a few families there! Will send you the invite.

I see you posted this quite a while go, so maybe you're all settled now. We are two mums and a nearly five-year-old in NW2, and would love to meet up in a park or whatever. Our daughter is very keen to meet children from families more like hers..
