i am changing solicitors in an accident comensation case and need to do a leter to send to old solicitors to give them permission to send infor to new solicitor.

what do i write so its legal and sounds ok? i know this should be very simple

it doesn't need to be legal - it just needs to give them the message.
Doesn't your new solicitor have a template?

You could ask if they have a standard template that they could let you have free of charge - Don't ask them to write the letter, they will probably charge for it.

Failing that something along the lines of;
"Please accept this letter as formal notification that I am instructing X Solicitors in the matter of XYZ and no longer require your services with immediate effect. I give my permission for you to release all relevant information regarding the matter of XYZ to X Solicitors. Please acknowledge receipt of this letter."

i do hate dealing with accident stuff, having to recount the awful stuff over and over and over and over and........

all you have to do is write a letter as chasing squirrels says, setting out that you are instructing new solicitors and intstructing them to release your file to them. If however you have an outstanding bill with them they will insist this is paid before they release your file
