i've had my car stolen, insurance in dps name. The insurance company wants v5 doc but thats still under our old address. The insurance is under new address. We thought we'd lost in move then found it. It was in envelope ready to post when car got stolen. Will this affect the insurance?

I was told recently that it is an offence to not change the address on your drivers licence if you move, but think it unlikely for V5.? (Anyhow that to do with police).
Dont see how they can refuse the claim as it was insured under your present address and they calculate the premiums on various issues such as NCD, age of driver and address (if you live in a dodgy neighbourhood for instance) and as they have this correctly and have adjusted the premiums accordingly it should be OK. Morally you have done the right thing but if they get stroppy write to the Financial Ombudsman to contest the case as I know from experience that car insurance companies can be the scum of the earth.
