can any family lawyers pls help me out here?

Exp and I were already exes when I got pregnant (farewell shag). Shortly after I took the test, he moved to Paris and promptly fell in love with a french woman.

He is on the birth cert, but only sees ds once every 6 weeks as I live in London.

At the moment, he is happy to come and see him there, and says this level of access suits him as he and french gf are ttc. Relations between us are good but I'm worried that he will want ds to stay with them in Paris soon. I'm not keen on this until he's at school at least. Can exp win a court order specifying that ds must stay with them in France, say every six weeks for a weekend? I'm not sure I can cope with my baby being in a different country from me when so young

How old is DS?

Tbh, if he's been reasonable up to now, no reason for him to change.

Has he ever given you any reason to think that he would request a court order such as this?

If you are that worried about it, then raise the subject with him, asking him if he's happy with the level of visitation. If he wants more, tell him you are open to bringing DS across, you might need help with travel costs etc, but at least the offer is there.

In time, I dare say DS could go over and stay, but I would think, considering the distances, that until he's at least well into Primary School.
