Changed name by deed poll - need copy of document

I urgently need a copy of the document from when I changed my name. Does anyone know how I can get this.

I could go into London if necessary.

Did you use a solicitor? I do change of name deeds and generally give the client the original plus 5 certified copies and keep a certified copy on file. If you did use a solicitor they should have done the same.

depends who you did the change through. i used an online company who have document storage. no real need for it now though as my passport etc are all changed. what do you need it for?

Yes I did use a solicitor, but only got one copy. I will ring them in the morning and see if they can help.

I need it for a job. I need a CRB check. Unfortunately I am trying to divorce my OH and he has taken all my paperwork, bank statements, birth certificate, credit card statements... everything, and either locked them away or destroyed them. I dont want to involve my possible new employer with my situation so I need to get this copy as soon as possible so I can start work.

Soon I will have no money, and nowhere to live!
