You have my sympathies. I've heard that NACSA is very good although they do charge for their top-line advice.

6 years here. And he works for the sodding Government!!! He si denying paternity. They 'lost' the first test that proved he was the father. They are yet to send an appointment despite 1 year of me calling asking when the next DNA was to be done. I gave up trying about 2 years ago.

MP sent a letter to them. They responded immediately and said no new DNA test was needed. It was only the paper version they had lost, the results were still on the database.

That was the last I heard. MP said he would be following it up but he never did.

I am going to contact them again on Monday, actually, and update my address now that you have reminded and ask if they are any further on, but I won't be holding my breath for payment.

phoned NACSA already but dont have the £1000 they wanted! they also charged £35.00 for them to tell me this!
My abusive xp claims hes a great dad and only wants whats best for his kids! presumably that means starvings, cold , and hungry! Sorry on a rant!

Ladies there are other ways to skin a rabbit! The CSA is ineffectual and they are short staffed, demoralised and have huge backlogs. It is a nightmare and men will try and employ any manner of delaying tactics whilst you struggle to make ends meet, then to add insult to injury they turn up for contact having been on a spending spree to 'update' their wardrobe for their new singledom, off on the third holiday that year no doubt to impress the new squeeze, and when the children come back from contact they are laden down with goodies such as x box games. Going to Daddy is like having Xmas day umpteen times a year and you appear to be the 'baddy' as you wont buy your little sweethearts the latest mobile phone, or the trainers they want when they demand them [which they do, on the basis that Daddy would buy them for me!!]..........if for no other reason than you do not have the money!!!!

There is a new child maintenance body which is being phased in and only time will tell if it will be more effective than the CSA. I suspect, as my nan would say its the same old wine in new bottles.

Check out if you could make an application under Schedule 1 of Children's Act 1989 for top up maintenance, a lump sum order or a property transfer order. It may be worth investigating this although you have to be realistic if your ex genuinely has little money. Most people do not know about this avenue. Type the above terms into google and read up on your options.....too much info for a single posting.

Take the law into your own hands.....diy!!!!
