My BF is currently going through a divorce. Regarding the financial settlement between him and his future xw, legally does my salary need to be taken into account if I am co-habiting with him?

Your salary is not directly part of the financial settlement. However, it may come into it indirectly on the basis that you are contributing to his housing costs, for example.

We had this exact same situation. I met my (now) DH 6 months after he split from his XW

Within days of me moving in with him, a letter arrived from her solicitor asking for details of my income. I refused to answer the question, DHs solicitor sent a letter back to this effect. We had no comeback

Thanks for your advice, it's really helped

Hi

When your bf provides disclosure of his financial position to xw, he will need to complete a section about your financial position. The relevance being that he has another 'financial resource' possibly reducing his financial needs.

Best regards
