hi long story
2 court case with an abusive ex( finding of fact prove guilty) police reports etc.
1 ended with ex failing to turn up and get in touch for a further 18 months my son is now 4 and not had contact with ex since around 13 months old.

second case cafcass recomended indirect on the grounds of ex lack of commitment and childish behaviour

ex was ordered to send letter every month with pics. ex missed 4 months and never sent xmas present or birthday card, now has started writing and asked me to send pic of my son to him. I havent being asked to by the court and my ex has also wrote a letter to myself asking me to read out letters and that he is keeping copies for himself! i have never said that i wont read out. advise needed should i send a pic or wait until the court orders it im back for review in may

can my ex start writing to me when he abused me and i had to get a restraining order out against hime
im not represented as i dont quailfy for legal aid so I LIP

please help may only seem like a small prob but i really dont like my abusive ex being able to contact me.

Hi

If in doubt, wait for the review in May, it's not far off. Does the restraining order prevent him contacting you directly or indirectly? You may just want to get clarification of that. Your fear may be that he may try to be abusive to you in letters?

Best regards
