The company Dh worked for became insolvent in December resulting in him being unemployed unexpectedly just before Christmas (sigh)

Turns out he was due an insolvency payment which arrived a couple of weeks ago, it was a little under £400, not a fortune but a veritable godsend to us.

A letter has arrived today stating they overpaid him by £120 and they want it back.

Bottom line, we don't have it and it's just one more bloody worry we don't need, so

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

tell them the truth - sorry guys, your error and it's all gone!

It doesn't work like that I'm afraid. Have you tried contacting them to make payment arrangements? It's their error so they should be accommodating.

sorry, had to nip out, I'm strongly tempted to put our heads under the duvet to be honest and hope they go away.

I guess we'll have to try and make some arrangement with them, say 10p a week
