Advice about our dodgy conservatory please!

Hi we moved into our house 5 years ago and over time our conservatory roof has started to leak, this has got progressively worse over time. Yesterday I called out a repair ma to get a quote for a repair. We were horrifed to learn that the conservatory was an complete bodge job made up from at least 3 different conservatories, some parts of which are older than 30 years, we were then shown that some of the roof panels had been put on upside down as well. The guy said e'd be worried to try & repair the roof as he felt the whole conservatory could be liable to collapse!
So what can we do? Can we clam from any-one or claim compensation for being misinformed about the conservatory? The only survey we can find is the one for our morgage approval & it doesn't go into detail.
Any help greatly appreciated please
Thanks for reading

Not unless you were given a guarantee with the conservatory which is unlikely since it wasn't new.

If you had a full structural survey your surveyor may have raised it but if you just had a homebuyers then unlikely.

Sorry, no - as LFC says, unless you have any specific guarantees relating to it, it's just bad luck I'm afraid.

Realistically unless it had a guarantee, or you had a full structural survey done when you purchased the house, you have no come back at all.

Sorry.
