Dear All,
I split with my ex over 10 years ago now I have a DS age 11.The ex took me through the courts for joint parental responsibility. He has not been in touch for 5 years now. All this time I have been to the CSa and threw the years have received little/no payment for DS.
Have written to my MP in the summer which seemed to jolt the csa into starting the process of taking my ex to court for no payment and back dated payments - he owes about 5K. ex has amazingly disappeared off the planet even thoguh the CSA have pictures, addresses and NI numbers... he does not have a bank account and is not claiming any benefits so muct be working and I know he is living with another partner. Any suggestions as to whether or not I should bother anymore - am really fed up of contacting the CSA, speaking to a new person(s) department time and time again....any ideas would be more than appreciated......thanks in advance

I think you should just let it go, its been so long now and it sounds like its taking alot of your energy and causing you stress. You may not even get any money that you were thinking of receiving. A friend of mine received a stupid amount from the csa, about £1.47 a week, of course you are entitled to this money, if it comes your way then thats great but dont let it stress you out, after all you have your Ds and you have managed so far!
