Course refund: do I have a leg to stand on?

Not sure if this is the right place so forgive me if not.

On Christmas Eve last year, I signed up to a course. The course consisted of both practical and theory elements, with the practical scheduled to take place over 5 consecutive days Tuesday-Sunday as advertised in the course guide. It’s now March and I had one practical session 5 weeks ago. Admittedly, I had to cancel one session that had been scheduled for the following week due to illness. The only communication I have received in this time was one test two weeks ago from the Rainer saying she had Noro. Given the lack of communication and the misinformation, I would like a refund on the course. Do I have a leg to stand on? Unfortunately, I paid via debit card as I don’t have a credit card.

No one can advise without seeing the terms and conditions. You need to read them and see what they say.

I don’t have anything with terms and conditions on

Have you asked when the other practical sessions will be held?
Was there any promise on the website about how frequently they would be available?
If you genuinely believe they owe you money and they won't respond (keep a log of all forms of contact you attempted with dates and their response). then perhaps pursue through small claims court. https://www.gov.uk/make-court-claim-for-money

Is there on the website? The contract may refer you to that and other policies such as a Complaints process. You may need to ask to reschedule the live sessions first.

There would ah e been terms and conditions when you signed up. Check their website.

It's impossible to give advice without knowing the T&Cs. If you don't have them you need to request a copy.

Is this a legitimate organisation/individual with some kind of regulatory oversight?
